Light rain showers to
start the day - it's another
grey day to manage

~carliewired

I pushed the bins out to the street before 6. It was really too dark to venture off, so I sat with my laptop until 7. Then I drove off to Riverside Park in the downtown. Rain was spattering the windshield before I got to the bridge.

The park was rather quiet on this dismal day. I listened to the highlights of the Presidential Debate from last evening on the radio. I wasn't in a hurry to walk down to the pier in the rain. Thankfully, it didn't amount to much so it didn't hold me up.

I watched the crows and gulls doing battle near the playground. Both parties seemed to be in competition for something in the grass. I missed a couple of very active squirrels. They ran up and down the tree trunks.

At the end of the pier I took a wide shot of the confluence. It was the scene of a police rescue on Monday morning while I was in the hospital. Two people had overturned their boat. One was rescued and one is yet to be found.

The seagulls lined up along the shoreline. Crows were making a great deal of noise in the vicinity. I walked back past the last of the summer flowers and the playground equipment. That was all these cranky feet could manage today.

I came home with breakfast just after the flooring installer, Trevor, had arrived. I expect to be in for the day.
