We've a big change in
weather overnight - windy,
grey and much cooler

I was awake before 6 but when I ventured out of my bedroom to take a read on the weather I could see a grim horizon and my trees tossing about. I decided to roll back into bed. When I woke again near 8 I thought I'd best get myself out the door. 

Not feeling much enthusiasm for photos on this grey day, I drove into MacArthur Island Park for some quick shots. 

I thought the mallards were going to be my only company this morning, but a look into the slough from the other side of the footbridge gave me a heron. They are so slender and seem almost transparent in their colouring. I watched this one tip toe through the water. 

I got the obligatory shots of my mountains and the footbridge. The radio tells me I missed a great sunrise this morning. I will have to do better! 

I picked up my breakfast on the way home. As I was coming down the hill to my house I saw a vehicle parked in my driveway. I wondered who could be visiting at 9 in the morning.......I'd forgotten that Trevor was coming to work on flooring. The weekend is over - it's Monday! I apologized profusely as I unlocked the front door for him. 

I need to go in search of some new footwear for cranky feet. That will be my afternoon. Otherwise I'm home with my feet up.
