Beauty is all around us.

Rishton Parish Church of Saint Peter and Paul.

The Feast Day of Saint Nicholas Tolentino. He was an Augustinian. His parents birthed him in their middle age years so he was precious and a much loved child. He preached in Tolentino after hearing the call within from the Lord to serve Him.
Born 1245 , died 1305.

The weather has been wild. I could hear the gusty wind from 7am this morning and I waited a while before going into the cold, damp garden, across the soaked and squelchy lawn to fill the bird seed. Holly stayed in over night but Hunter, true to form, decided to stay out in the garden. As I filled the seed container he peeped at me from under the hydrangeas. He is a real character. It was a very rainy night but he managed to look carefree and contented.

It rained all morning. I felt very cold but resisted putting the heating on. It is 13c but feels like 11c.

Amazingly it is sunny now, but still Autumnal and very cold.

I dressed up in several layers, including hat and light gloves for the first time this Autumn. I walked to the Parish Church. The parishioners raised funds with various community events, to get the clocks repaired and cleaned. I collected a newsletter, prayed there and bought some marmalade for a friend.

Next I bought three birthday cards from the card and gifts shop.

On my way home I visited the canal where one narrowboat was moored up beside the Canalside Cafe. I love boats but would not like to actually live on one. Canal Boat Diaries is a great series on Yesterday if you are interested.
I noticed a few dog walkers. Otherwise it was quiet, with the children all being back at school.

Food for thought." God asks little, but He gives much. The rich person is not one who is in possession of much, but one who gives much."

Thank you for visiting my site blip friends.
