Beauty is all around us.

Our garden during a sunny interval.

The Feast Day of Saint Protus and Saint Hyacinth.

The temperature dropped to 15.4c in the living room this morning, so we decided to warm the house up for an hour and then turned it off. It rained torrentially and noisily for hours, but by 11am it is now bright sunshine. The lawn is saturated but it was like this last year for weeks on end.

I have done some housework and washing, fed the cats and garden birds. I walked to the shop for our i newspaper and The People's Friend, but got caught in the rain as I walked home. Being green and keeping life local is my main aim, but having a good raincoat is essential. Mine is a long navy, drover's waterproof coat, bought as a gift from Paul many years ago from Kendal market. It is ideal in heavy showers but takes a while to dry.

In the afternoon I went to the High Street and bought some triple batteries for my religious candles. One is dedicated to The Holy Family and one is to Our Lady of Grace. They are beautiful and from The Piety Stall, online. www.pietystall.co.uk Good for Christmas and birthday presents.

I went out in sunshine but came home in rain. It changes so fast!

Have a lovely Wednesday, take care and thank you for visiting my site blip friends.
