Holker Hall

Only Lizzie and Joella went in the hall, included in their ticket, while the rest of us continued to explore the Gardens. It was such a beautiful day, warm, sunny and peaceful. Most people head to the lakes when it's such a glorious day.
The gardens covered 23 acres and included a sunken garden, formal gardens, Neptune's Cascade, a labyrinth and wildflower meadow, and an abundance of beautiful trees. We recreated our childhood and spent time on the wooden seesaw in the woods.
My back has gone into spasms.....
A beautiful swim in the mill river next to Lizzies house on our return and we managed to eat dinner outside again
