Birthday Greetings With Added Llama Karma

Today felt like it was predestined to be a good day as soon as I first set eyes on this joyously ebullient birthday card - after all what could possibly represent a birth related anniversary any better than a party hat and snazzy glass wearing domesticated South American camelid! Mind you it could just as easily have been the after effects of a couple of very early glasses of Prosecco (we're talking pre-breakfast here)! :-)
Luckily the day kept improving as we then had an absolutely delicious lunch at The Red Bull in Eccles - two of us had Bavette steak with green pepper sauce, fries and crispy onions and the other had rump of salt marsh lamb with dauphinoise potatoes, thyme roasted ratatouille and rosemary white wine jus followed by vanilla "burnt" Basque cheesecake with berry compote and a tiramisu. 
As a particular treat I didn't have to drive either (I'm the only driver in our household) as we got a taxi there and back so I was able consume a glass of wine or two (o.k, maybe it was nearer to half a bottle!). We even had a very entertaining chat with the taxi driver on the way home. All in all a very enjoyable day!
