More Than Just Another Brick In The Wall

Today I finally got my car Nigella (my cars have always had a name) back after nearly three weeks and paying out just short of £2000!! It was great to have her back but it has left a rather gaping hole in my bank account.
After I'd collected her from the garage I felt like a walk around town if nothing else but to try to banish the thought of that enormous bill!
This shot of wonderfully odd ethereal street art (I'm a particular fan of the orange hand encroaching from the right hand side of the image) - with added flowering weed - was taken just around the corner from where I used to work for more than 15 years before I was made redundant. It may seem a bit strange to have reminisces about a wall but I used to pass it at least twice every working day for over a decade and a half (although it was not adorned with any artwork at the time) at the start of the day and/or at lunchtime and it brings back so many memories of my working life - all the good times and the bad from the people I worked with and for, meeting friends in the office that I still have to this day, the changing seasons from year to year, witnessing one of my poor colleagues slipping on the icy path next to the wall one incredibly cold winter and breaking her wrist, a (thankfully hoax) bomb threat leading to our office having to be evacuated following a warning to the police station next door and a hog roast in the nearby car park held by our employers during a partial eclipse of the sun!
Our office was long ago converted to housing but I still remember many a day looking out of the window, when I really should have been working instead of daydreaming, over that wall towards the nearby rooftops imagining what was going on in all those other shops, offices and workplaces.
