Summer reflections

It was already sweltering by 9.30 this morning when Gill and I walked the dogs along the old railway line at Cobleland near Aberfoyle.

There wasn't a midge in sight, but instead we seemed to attract clegs by the dozen! We flapped our arms about to try and keep them at bay, but they were a real nuisance.

I liked the reflections in the water as we crossed the little wooden bridge over the river.

The plan had been to have a wander around the village, possibly involving coffee and scones, after the walk, but the car was like an oven and it would have been cruel to leave Dornie and Shuna to be roasted alive.

Refreshments were enjoyed at The Pottery in Drymen instead, once we'd deposited the pooches back home. Gill has now gone home and I hope to catch up with everyone this evening.
