All was quiet and peaceful when we passed Balmaha marina this morning, but with the heatwave continuing you can bet on it being hoaching by mid-morning and throughout the day. Those ducks are bound to have been fed some chips by now...

The several cleg bites I received yesterday have now come up in horrible itchy angry-looking lumps. The only remedy I have with me at this house-sit is pure lavender oil, which relieves the itchiness to a certain extent, thank goodness.

Anyone know of a local punkah wallah looking for work?
