Firemen at Work

Quite a furore when several fire engines with police cars and ambulances attended an interior fire in this block of flats in Numància just above Berlin, in Barcelona, just around the block. The smell of a burning home was certainly present and I saw several firemen, close too at ground level, who had clearly been ‘in’ and were glistening with sweat and catching their breaths. It must have been safe enough not to evacuate the building with urgency but it certainly stopped the traffic and the citizens with all eyes pointed upwards! This balcony of entry is on the eighth floor.
