New Mac, New Wallpaper!

Yesterday didn’t start well when my MacBook Pro showed its battery was flat and then refused to charge. It had been losing power far quicker than usual during the last week and one of the ports had stopped working. It’s 3 1/2 years old which is really not that much, but on the verge of not being reliable enough to be my heavy use constant work tool.

Having a very heavy workload of sessions starting first thing on Monday I couldn’t afford to be ill-equipped, so we took the decision to buy a replacement on Saturday, having checked that every Mac authorised service provider was closed until Monday morning (to look into battery replacement options) and the Apple Store could not offer a technical consultation until a week on Saturday.

The deed was done quickly and I have a new MacBook Pro exactly the same, apart from the colour of the case, as the one DD recently acquired being, for our record, a 14 inch MacBook Pro with 16 GB of ram, and one TrB of storage.

Ironically, the old one began to charge up on my return home with the new one but, overall, we’re happy with the purchase as having a temperamental. machine is really just not an option.

I felt it deserved a new wallpaper shot of DD and chose this one which was taken during our recent holiday in Blanes on the veranda of our hotel one lunchtime.
