Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

an apple a day

Church this morning was our first Sunday without a Rector Thankfully all went well. We had two new arrivals too. One from South Africa and the other from India.... from Kerala in fact, so we had a lovely chat at coffee time. It's always nice to see new faces and these two have both just moved into the area and were desperate to give me their contact details.
We headed out to the Gyle next then to Livingston, a birthday present for s i l was purchased and a pair of Skechers for me, suitable for our holiday next month .
When we got home I did some housework, only a little, I didn't get carried away!

I've been watching the apple tree as it ripens, not the best crop, but not bad. We never manage to eat them all in any case.
Dinner was the steak pie I made last week and which we had never got around to eating, it was good.
This evening we watched the final episode of Crime, series 1. It's strange how things change when Irvine Welsh first started writing his work was very far from Mainstream and now it's available on the main channels.
Another new week, go well fellow blippers.
The first time I came across the Go well /Stay well phrases was in Cry the Beloved Country which I studied for O level a very long time ago. I always found it a very warm way of parting and it has stayed with me
