Summer’s Last Hurrah!

The Selkies think it’s their slip and the boaties think it’s their slip and never the twain shall meet. However with this apparently being the end of the sailing season, boats and buoys were being removed from the water which rather interfered with our ability to stay in the water longer than we might have liked on today’s last hurrah for summer.
It’s been a glorious day - a day of sunshine, warmth and just a gentle breeze to keep the midges away.

Wendy Selkie and I took soup and cake to the nonagenarian John whom we visited last week. We joined him in a cup of tea and heard his tales before Wendy took me to her house to build up my strength with soup and oatcakes.

If only this weather would stay like this for a few days longer.
