Late arrival

This begonia was a bit neglected so didn’t grow very well. A bonus is that it has bloomed in time to replace some annuals in a wall basket that were past their best!!! 

The builder’s garden contractors came this morning to measure up the garden for the drainage requirements. A job which took all of 5 minutes. I asked when they they thought the job would be done. My heart sank when he said that there is a process that they have to go through……. We have been dealing with this issue for 6 months already. 

It has been a busy week and I was really running out of steam. I needed a rest after the garden chaps had gone. We then went into town to collect tablets from the pharmacy, then popped across the road to get grated Emmental cheese from Waitrose, the only place that I can buy it. I need it for our weekly French fish pie. 

A session in the garden was followed by another nap. Amber has been my couch mate today, she hasn’t seen much of me this week so is catching up on the cuddles. 

The weather has been beautiful today.
