Visitors
A and the children (M & A) visited from Essex today, a 3hr drive to get here. I haven’t seen the children since July last year, but have met with A once in London. The children have grown so much and are now taller than their mum and are lovely young adults. M has had a hard time over the Covid period, lockdown and other restrictions, but is doing brilliantly, having had excellent GCE results. He made me laugh when telling me that he has two birthdays. The day he was born and his ‘expected due date’. He uses whichever suits the situation.
He was born prematurely at 28 weeks and 1 day, weighing 1kg. (2lbs 2ozs). A little miracle. He is now a sturdy 16yr old returning to school next week to start his A levels.
We spent the day at home, taking Amber for a walk round the estate to see the developments, then out for dinner with R.
My sewing ladies recommended the White Hart Hotel in town which we haven’t visited before. It was excellent, an extensive menu which suited all tastes. B wasn’t with us, but I will take him out for lunch there soon.
A and family stayed overnight at the Premier Inn before heading home this morning.
We are now catching up by text on the bits of info that we forgot to share yesterday. They are safely home.
