Breakfast time …..
….. ….. ….. for a NZ waxeye/silvereye. It looked as though my neighbour had cut off the top of a kiwifruit for the waxeye to feed.
I’m back from Fiordland, after the most amazing 6 days away. It couldn’t have been any better, with so many highlights I hardly know where to start.
The company that 11 of us guests travelled with treated us amazingly well. The blue cod that we caught were cooked for us by a 3-star Michelin chef, as were the crayfish. We ate very well indeed.
The weather was very good and the only rain (most unusual for Fiordland) fell over 2 nights. The scenery is incredible.
My wrist got better and better and I even kayaked!
We helicoptered into Preservation Inlet and then steamed north to Doubtful Sound, before returning to Queenstown.
I’ll put a couple of images into Extras and also backblip as I get myself organised. There wasn’t any internet or wifi in such a remote place.
