At Last!

.... I found a butterfly that settled for me. It doesn't help when the dogs are following me everywhere and scaring them off. This one settled on a lavender plant which used to be my dads. Dad has been gone for 22 years now so it's doing really well. My mum loved lavender and dad planted it for her so its really special to me.

I planted more lavender today. I want to attract the bees and butterflies into the garden. I have bought various kinds and they are looking really nice.

My poor dogs don't know what to do with themselves in this heat. We have steps which go down to the river from our garden. We let nettles grow and cover them up as the neighbours geese were always in our garden. I didn't mind the geese themselves, but they used the garden like a toilet and my garden was covered in geese poo...then worse still...the dogs ate it. I have now decided tomorrow I'm going to clear the steps as Maisie loves to paddle in the river. Oscar isn't so sure but hopefully he will follow her.

Just a two mile run today after my bootcamp session. We have gone on to a 10k programme. We have a couple of 3 milers then I've looked and seen a 4 mile run not too far away....God help me!
