Nice big blackberries

These are blackberries which are growing on our allotment, a really tasty variety and also good as  they have no thorns. Always nice to have a few to snack on between doing gardening! The wild ones in our nearby parks are now over but these will carry on for quite a while. My task at the allotment today was to try and weed around the raspberry canes…lots of bindweed still.

This morning I went for a swim and was so surprised to find no families in the pool at 10.00am!
After this did a bit of sewing and began making a witch scarecrow for our allotment ‘ show’ in a couple of weeks. To be revealed later!
