Riders In The Sky

Today saw the annual Riders In The Sky Event, when hundreds of motorbike and scooter enthusiasts ride out in memory of a young biker who died in an accident a few years ago.

Every year they have raised large amounts of money for charity through the ride and the family fun day which follows it.

We were just in time to catch some of them as they rode down the High Street this morning.

We were on our way to the pool where we enjoyed a sociable swim. Our friend Rosie was there with two of her sons and their young families who we haven’t seen for a while.

This afternoon we had a stroll across the fields to Sharpham. 

We called in at the supermarket to pick up one or two things for tonight’s dinner and bumped into Chris, fresh back from his trip to Gateshead. They’d had a great time, apart from 5 of them having their coats stolen while they were in a club. Fortunately, none of them had left anything valuable in them.
