Marvel Of Peru

Another of the mystery pack of bulbs we bought from Lidl. These ones turned out to be Mirabilis, aka Marvel of Peru, aka Four O’Clocks due to their habit of opening their flowers in the late afternoon.

Our visitors, Christine & Carol arrived at lunchtime and  we spent most of the rest of the day chatting, eating and drinking, joined for a while by Kate, Sophie and Chris.

We spent a number of holidays with Christine and her family when the kids were young so they were keen to catch up as well.
