Guelder rose berries

John collected these today, he will extract the seed to plant some this autumn, a first, they can later decided if it is worth the effort.  The remainder of the seed will be frozen for a few months before planting, another experiment. I thought they looked like jewels, very pretty.

Extra shows a bag of Rowan berries, the berries will be mashed to extract seed from the pulp, a painstaking job, to keep the seed in muslin bag overwinter (outside) in readiness to sow next spring.
