Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway.
Up and at them to pack up before the campsite closed it doors. It was quite a surreal atmosphere as everybody was in the same boat!
Matthew and I decided the best thing for it was to drive to a place where we could use our phones to locate somewhere else to continue our holiday. All campsites appeared to be closing up for the same reason so we opted for an Air BnB in Ingleton for the next two nights!
With that sorted, we headed for the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. The railway uses miniature steam and diesel engines to provide a ride from Ravenglass to Dalegarth for Boot. It was great fun to have a ride!
From there we drove to Ingleton and made a trip to Ingleton Waterfalls where we complete the trail in apocalyptic style monsoon rain. The waterfalls were sure full!!
Wet clothing hung up around the Air BnB and time for a late tea feeling we'd made the best of a curve ball from the weather. :-)
