Weather changes …..

….. ….. ….. on high. These lenticular clouds followed a nor’west arch earlier plus some mammatus clouds. A busy sky up above!

I can’t say I’m thrilled about the weather forecast for the West Coast south of Milford Sound. We’re likely to get rainy days from tomorrow onwards, according to the forecasts. We’re leaving at 7:20am tomorrow. I’m hoping to have an early night.

We’re to helicopter from Manapouri over to Preservation Inlet and will join up with our boat there, the ‘Fiordland Jewel’. The FJ will then sail up to Doubtful Sound, and after a ride over the Wilmot Pass, we’ll boat over to Te Anau and then drive home.

I’m told there’s no phone access and no wifi, so I’ll have to do some back-blipping after 29th August.
Talk to you then!
