Around the corner

From the breast screening clinic, where I had a mammogram in the afternoon, is this mural of Jimi Hendrix.  I wonder how young you have to be to not recognise who it is.  For me, the greatest rock musician ever. Not only because of how brilliantly he played, but how his music makes you feel. I was 17 when he died, and he was 27. I never got to see him live - my mum wouldn’t let me go to the Isle of Wight Festival:(
I asked the woman at the screening about future tests - as they don’t call you after 70, but the danger of breast cancer is still there.  She said we can get the test every 3 years however old we are, but we have to ring and ask for an appointment. Which I certainly will do.
