A supermoon
Means super tides. The river Avon is tidal up to and beyond where I live. I was walking into the centre for my morning at Fareshare. This is a few metres higher than normal. Didn’t quite come up over the path, though you can see it’s close. I’ve only seen that twice in 35 years.
Lovely morning at Fareshare, got all my admin done and then listing and entering details of the bread delivery. Within a few minutes it was added to the picking lists. I then worked together with another volunteer, sorting a donation from Tesco customers. We have to weed out: anything with nuts or alcohol, plus anything past its use by date. A nice man I’d not met before - we got chatting about our lives - turns out he was a service user of the mental health service I worked at for my last 20 years:) He’s doing really well - and fortunately had a good experience with the support he received.
Pretty tired in the afternoon as usual- got some deep cleaning done in the bathroom. And I listened to the whole of the radio 4 series on Grenfell - going right back to the start of the terrible decisions and unprincipled behaviour of the central government, local government, architects, manufacturers of building materials. This is a detailed analysis in advance of
the release of the Grenfell report, due out soon. I really recommend the programmes, but you need to be feeling strong
