In the face of a sunflower
With the summer we’ve had until recently it is surprising that there are so many tall, showy sunflowers on the allotment. One must have been 12 feet tall.
Odd sort of day. The promised sun played coyly behind varying thicknesses of cloud. We walked this morning, declining the opportunity for a coffee in Mote Park. It was predictably heaving.
Some admin this afternoon then I went to the allotment while Susan cleaned.
After I’d posted yesterday’s blip we went to see the bats in Mote Park at dusk. There were loads around, flitting in front of us, from behind and across the water. So close we could hear the flutter of wings. A nice folk up from yesterday’s bat walk.
