To celebrate!

Our offer for the house we saw on Thursday in Cockermouth on Vicarage Lane has been accepted! News that we’ve waited for since Thursday afternoon. We were getting apprehensive as this morning wore on and there was no news. At 12.45 the estate agents rang with the news as we were out walking.

We had a celebratory coffee to mark the milestone and will mark it more formally on Saturday with a bottle of bubbly…

The house ticks almost all the boxes except being ready to move into. The rear garden faces south, has space for a veg patch, greenhouse, studio, shed and pond and there’s space to extend.

Now comes all the things we have to do and hope that everything goes smoothly and that the survey and searches don’t throw up significant problems.

Thank you for all your supportive comments over the last few months as we’ve searched for the right property. We feel you’ve been collectively willing a solution. Now you can all relax.
