Les lavandières

I only went out for a short stroll today as I was still not feeling well this morning. The fluid in my UK covid tests was all dried up so I had to purchase a test at the pharmacy. It quickly showed positive so that is a nuisance. The washerwoman used to have their own station down by the river until it was swept away in the floods. The lavoir or washhouse is still enjoyed by campers and locals who want to wash large items that do not fit in a washing machine. The washhouse is appreciated  because the water that is flowing is permanently hot and emanates from one of the several thermal springs in the village.
