GREY HERON

A trip over to see Mum today.  Traffic was relatively quiet for August.  After off-loading Mum's shopping and her putting it away we did a couple of small chores then my brother and his partner arrived so we had a lovely catch up with them.

After lunch we had a chat and then it was time to come home.

We drove along the prom bud didn't stop today as it was very hazy over The Bay.  It was busy but not as busy as the last two weeks, but then I think the fairground is there and the wheel is now working so maybe they were all down there!!

We stopped off at the layby in Milnthorpe on the A6 but sign of any sheep or deer, however instead I saw an egret and two grey herons.  Never seen the herons there before.  They stayed long enough for me to get some photos of them, but for the heron anyway, none in the water.  In extras is a photo of the egret with a duck with hits head in the water!!!

Typically as soon as I moved away they decided to take flight so I missed catching them in flight.  Still I can't grumble this is the closest I've ever managed to get to a heron to tak a reasonably good shot so I'm pleased with that.

Going to watch  The Footage Detectives on Channel 82 soon.  Then that's it for today.

Do take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
