Earrings

Today's the day ....................... to have mail

How absolutely lovely to get a letter today from one of my best friends, Sue - and when I say 'letter', I mean a proper hand-written one that was delivered by the postman.

It's a sad fact that no-one has the time (or inclination) these days to sit down and actually write what they want to say - using proper sentences and words - that bring whoever is writing immediately to mind for the one that is reading.  It's so much quicker and easier to dash off a text that will fill in most of the words for you - so that you hardly have to think at all.

My letter today had an added bonus too, in that it contained a gift of these earrings.  Sue had sent them because she knew I would like the colours - which, of course I do!  That's what happens when you've known someone for more years than you care to mention - and shared much quality time - you get to know them pretty well.

So thanks Sue - so good to hear from you today.  I'll be writing back to you in due course .......................!
