Arnside

It was a truly beautiful evening and I was determined to make the most of it.

Having been trapped indoors for most of the day, waiting for and then having to be around for an Openreach engineer to install some new kick-ass fibre broadband, I felt like a caged animal…..with improved internet speeds.

We gathered up some friends and then drove down to Arnside chippy, which to the uninitiated is one of the best chippies around this area.

The children were hyper. I always find it tough to go from the relative silence of my day to the polar opposite in an instant. There’s no build-up to these things! 

We sat on the picnic blanket and looked out across the bay as the sun started to hide behind some clouds, but my goodness it was glorious and the fish n chips weren’t bad either.

There was a little wandering and playing to be done, so with the tide out I sauntered (don’t do enough of that) down towards the water and took this.

Lovely way to lead into the weekend!
