Skipping Stones at the Big Bridge
The Big Mac (Mackinac) Bridge connects Michigan's Lower and Upper Peninsulas. It is roughly 5 miles long, is the 5th longest bridge in the world, and connects Mackinaw City and St. Ignace, Michigan. The cost to cross? For a normal vehicle...4 dollars.
The Mackinaw City side is quite touristy, but the views down by the big lakes (Lake Michigan on the left, Lake Huron on the right) are awesome with the bridge and a beautiful lighthouse.
The Yoopers (Upper Peninsula people) call us down-staters trolls.
