Clara again
MONDAY
It was the hottest day of the year so far. I spent a little over an hour in the garden.
Then I went to Halford’s at Rhuddlan to get my brake light fixed. The fitter found that the plastic fitting had been overtightened, but he quickly took care of it and replaced the bulb.
Next, I headed to Rhyl to pick up some ironing, grabbed a quick lunch, and took a walk around Marine Lake in the sunshine. I caught a glimpse of Clara, a vintage miniature diesel loco from 1961, giving families rides around the lake.
Back in Rhuddlan, I practiced bowls at the club. The recently watered green made the game a bit tricky, with the bowls stopping abruptly.
In the evening, I went to the Salusbury Arms for the community group’s monthly meeting. I gave an update on last month’s photography competition and ended up with a few more tasks, including organising the printing of the winning photos as greeting cards.
