Squerryes Winery parkrun

We ran a unique trail parkrun today through a vinyard and farm fields in the beautiful Kent countryside. We had a very friendly welcome from the RD and team and I enjoyed the challenge of running through the fields between the rows of vines and tried to keep a constant pace. We were recognised by C's house mate Paul and his girlfriend who introduced themselves. It was good to have a brief catch-up.  

We returned to Maidstone to do more sorting and watching Olympics 4 x 4 finals and Laura Muir and Georgia Bell run the 1800m - very exciting, and 3 more British medals. Georgia ran the race of her life with a PB time and British record of 3:57 - inspirational. Unfortunately our return journey was a nightmare with over an hour delay at the Dartford Tunnel crossing.
