Judging Best Hen and Cock

A lovely warm and sunny morning, cloudy in the afternoon, cooler too. A couple of showers about teatime.  Windy all day.

Up early, washing out, then headed out walkies with Sammy.  Nipped down to Laura's, met mam and we headed to the show.  Met in with Julie, Ingram and the lasses.  Most of the day on the show field, lunch too.  Walkies with Sammy again before tea.  Working in the shop this evening, a busy night.  Walkies, then feet up.

A busy day at the show, despite the chilly afternoon.  Plenty of folk to yarn with, and many I've not seen in long.  For a good show, you need plenty of volunteers.  This year, Julie, Ingram and the lasses were all helping out.  Julie was a steward, Ingram had more responsibility being a judge this year, judging the poultry and eggs.  It was a tough job, but he did well, and crowned the winning hens and cocks with their rosettes.  Maybe this pair should have been the winners.  Julie and Ingram in the poultry shed, Cunningsburgh Show, Moors, Cunningsburgh.
