Searocket at West Voe
Pea soup mist first thing, but it wasn't long before the skies cleared, a beautiful sunny day and evening, warm and calm.
Up early, another 12hr late shift in the airport. Delayed flights due to the mist, but I missed that. All flights that followed were early or on time. Popped by mam's on my way home. Jonny and Laura were in, also Julie and family down from Unst. It's rare all four of us are together, why didn't I take a photo? We've had a great evening. Walkies with Sammy, then feet up.
It was a worry when I woke this morning and saw the mist. Thank goodness the skies cleared. As I walked along at lunchtime, I saw plenty of Dunters (Eider Ducks), thinking to myself that their numbers had been doing well this year, then saw photos online of orcas slaughtering huge numbers of them not far from here. Wish I'd snapped a photo of that little Dunters I saw, instead here's some cheery searocket. Taken at West Voe beach, Sumburgh.
