A handbag?!

Golden evening in the stunning Court House garden in East Meon watching The Importance of Being Earnest by the chilling named Rain or Shine Theatre Company.  Thankfully it was shining and we watched first part in warmth finishing in the cooler gloaming. Glad I brought a shawl.  It was fun, the play always is.  The man in front of us was laughing endlessly…. 

We decided as it was just us sharing our picnic not to do the whole picnic shebang but to have a late lunch and then a few picky bits and wine.  Much less stressful.  

I walked in the morning - trying to avoid fields of giant sweet corn/maize that are surrounding the house.  I spent most of the afternoon in the garden, weeding and deadheading and picking dahlias which are blooming in profusion.  As it was a sunny morning there was a welcome amount of bees and butterflies around.
