Bloomin’
The garden is bright and lush right now. This year we appear to have a few apples on this little old apple tree, we had none last year and 300 the year before. The white blousy hydrangea is the best I’ve ever seen it and the agapanthus has 12 blooms after only one last year. All done to the rain I guess and in the case of the apples, no late frost. So it’s an ill wind…
Working at home day, remember them. Lots to do and a big zoom on the BBC marketing plan for Nightsleeper which is ramping up nicely. This is the last week of delivery and today we delivered episode 6 into the BBC. Just the international version (shorter) to deliver.
Stopped at 6 and did some pot watering when I took the Blip and wondered at the eco verse. When do I cut the long grass? Google gives lots of suggestions but I think I’m going to plump for late August. The knapweed wasn’t as good this year and the nettles were more plentiful. And the best wildflowers are on the newly cut lawn after No Mow May.
Crab risotto for supper (Gousto) and watched the first episode of Those About to Die which was hilarious! Very good chariot race scenes but in a total CGI world with a really dodgy script. Shogun it ain’t but very entertainingly awful.
