The Braes of Glenlivet

Went up a couple of hills beside the Lecht ski centre today, just south of Tomintoul, Carn Liath and Carn Ealasaid, with M. Today's blip is looking over the Braes of Glenlivet, of whisky fame, from Beinn a'Chruinnich (just above the winter ski slope on the west side of the Lecht).  The building at the bottom left is an old mine at the Wells of Lecht, where ironstone and manganese were mined. At it's height more than 60 men worked there, but it stopped operations in 1846 due to the falling price of manganese.
