Can YOU Lick YOUR Nose?
Today's challenge. While the humans sit watching the Olympics, Spike finds other ways to amuse himself. It was something of an accomplishment for me to find Peacock, the elusive streaming app that allows us to watch whatever events we want whenever we want to. At least that's the way it's supposed to work.
John's first scan is tomorrow morning and the second is the third week in August. Our Pilates-on-the-floor this morning was just me for awhile as it is Bob's birthday and he and Gail are off on some sort of adventure, and John was called away by a phone call from the neurologist's office offering him an appointment in October. Not great, but better than January. We've decided to leave it at that as it's too exhausting to try to communicate with these people. With any luck they will HAVE the results as we have yet to hear a word about the lost and found report on another test done in May. Maggie, the Pilates teacher, and I compared aches and pains and discussed what to do about them.
My big accomplishment today was to go to the grocery store. I've almost forgotten how, since this is a chore usually undertaken by John. It is a great grocery store with a live butcher and seafood department, an excellent deli with prepared foods and salads and hand sliced meats. There is also an excellent selection of cheeses both local and from around the world with somebody to help with the choice There are freshly baked breads from several local bakeries, and too sweet but very beautifully decorated cakes and pastries. There is even a large health food/vitamin/supplement section, but I think the space could be put to better use by allowing the produce section to expand. The staff is very friendly and there is always someone around to help find things. I spent twice as much time, and probably twice as much money (a rather eye watering amount) as John would, but I almost enjoyed myself and John got a break after doing it uncomplainingly for years.....
I am between quilt assignments as the Winnie the Pooh heart quilt was delivered yesterday and my neighbor who has asked for one is still thinking about what she wants, but there is always plenty of work to do in the garden.
