What on earth??

I like nature puzzles or quirks. The longer I look at this the more I think it looks like a puppy with a moustache and very hefty whiskers, suffering from several mauve 'growths'.
The truth is: it is a weed whose name I do not know, the head of whose flower is about 1 cm across, growing where it shouldn't, not yet fully 'out', but which I still find intriguingly lovely.
