TRAVELING…

…to Derbyshire. A part of the country I’ve never been to.
We had a lovely simple breakfast at our B and B and then drove into St Albans. After a frustrating time trying to charge the car we gave up and just parked.
We had a short stroll but sadly didn’t make it as far as the cathedral.
We then headed up the M1 to Derbyshire. Besides the annoying variable speed limits; that kept changing, we had a good journey. Stopped at Donington and #then headed to Flash through the most stunning scenery.
#Flash is the highest village in Britain.
We had planned to surprise my niece (as the trip was to celebrate her 40th) but she read a text over her Mums shoulder on the way up!!!
#this was her acting surprised :))) however my other niece and husband were very shocked and he took a while to process it. It was so funny.
#this is our cottage …a one up one down, perfect for us and attached to the holiday cottage the family have rented.
In the evening the 3 men went across the road to the village pub whilst we chatted and planned our 2 days together.
