Cutie
Didn’t sleep that well….it seems quite hot and I woke several times, but got up early to do my hair and get some washing on. S and I had some scrambled egg and smoked salmon for breakfast then I hung up the porcelain long pipes that I bought in Cornwall (no doubt will be blipped in future!) and later took S down to the station for her train home.
Back and started on the ironing. A phoned and she seemed a bit fed up…it’s her birthday tomorrow and she’s sad to see that several of their planned activities look they won’t work out….its going to rain and they’d hoped to walk around the food festival in George Sq, then they’d planned to go to the cinema in the evening but there’s nothing on they want to see….poor thing! She loves birthdays so it was sad to see her feeling down.
I finished my ironing fairly quickly so decided to go and give her some company. I stopped at M&S and bought the ingredients for a chicken and bacon club sandwich (her favourite) and some flowers, then when I arrived I helped her with the jobs she was doing before making the sandwich which she enjoyed (extra)! We then snuggled down with rugs on the sofa and watched a couple of episodes of our favourite medical show based in A&E.
After all that she was much chirpier and all ready to finish her jobs and have a shower etc before N gets home and they start their week off together celebrating.
Home and did a last bit of ironing after the last load of laundry had dried enough then made a birthday cake for A for tomorrow. Remembered I’d missed Ot’s birthday yesterday so had some texts back and forth with his Dad O to hear how the weekend had gone and send birthday wishes. He sent me back this lovely photo…so cute!
