Dragons in the future
I was originally going to blip something else today, but as I was in the garden we were visited by a female broad bodied chaser who spent a couple of minutes ovipositing her eggs in our little pond. As soon as I saw her I raced inside to grab a camera and lens and ran back to get a few shots while she was still here. Ideally I'd have gone for a little more depth of field but I was so busy trying to track her in flight that I hadn't realised quite how shallow my depth of field was.
After this year's successes with the Souther Hawkers and the Common Darters that are currently emerging I have my fingers crossed that we might see some of her offspring in a couple of years time.
