Pizza night

What’’s the best way to celebrate the one day heatwave?  We thought about going to the beach but decided to do pizza int he garden and invite our neighbour Rachel to join us.  And it was lovely.  She brought a huge bunch of flowers from her garden including a magnolia grandiflora bud that may or may not open but looked amazing.  We sat out in the goat shed which we filled with candles and flowers.   Outside V cooked and the slight Colditz effect is from all the anti deer chicken wire (nice) that we put up to keep them off the roses. 

I worked in the morning but from lunchtime worked ‘summer hours’ and went and had nails done in Petersfield, starting wedding prep!  Someone came to mow the lawn, there was enough of a breeze and I sat in the deckchair reading a novel. 

Ah well, looking at the forecast, normal service is resumed tomorrow.
