Interval

It looks as if we’re going to get approximately a day and a half of full blown summer here in the South.  Use it wisely folks.

Back much better and I spent the cloudy half of the day in the barn finishing off the writing I was doing on the press pack.  V did a leftover lunch and we ate outside.  As the dog hates going out in any heat I walked on my own for a bit to free up the back.

Calls in the afternoon and then we went over to see the Petersfield Shakespeare Festival’s production of Romeo & Juliet at Wyld’s Farm.  It was a lovely evening the marquee and stage pictured here at the interval when I walked around the woods with Clare and a friend of hers.  The Bartlett’s gave us a  ‘simple picnic’ beforehand, actually lovely salads and we bought wine from the bar there.  The production was very good with a sweet Juliet and a fun Mercutio.  Such a sad play though.

We were warned it would get cold (It didn’t) and the mozzies would come out (they did, but not much) but as we drove away in a cloud of fumes from a vintage car in front of us it did seem as if we’d got very lucky.
