Georgetown University
Today, my grandson and I rode along with my husband as he visited some National Parks where he is doing work. Our first stop was Teddy Roosevelt Island, which is in the middle of the Potomac River in front of Georgetown. The view from the footbridge showcases the skyline of Georgetown University and the Key Bridge Boathouse.
It was brutally hot and I was grateful that we were allowed to drive onto the island to get to the job site.
My grandson and I walked through the wetlands while my husband was doing his job (extra 1.) We saw a ton of tadpoles that were bubbling up the water. We also saw lots of turtles.
The Teddy Roosevelt Memorial is fantastic (extra 2.) This sculpture is just a tiny bit of the Memorial.
