Baby Chicks

Three chicks hatched last night, a white, a red, and a black. I think the red is the one who was pecking at the shell yesterday. The black is extra lucky because hawks think they are crows and stay away from the coop. 
When we first started our flock, Tractor Supply was selling chicks for $1.99. Now they are selling them for $4.49 a chick. My husband decided that he would breed his own. I hope that we get some hens.
