Osteospermum (African Daisy)
We are pretty organized for the trip. I shopped for the perishable items while hubby took Brooklyn to the base drill hall. She was going to practice basketball with a friend. We put away the groceries and ate lunch (Renee’s homemade spaghetti) and it was time to pick Brooklyn up. I grabbed my blip before it got too hot outside. Then I started preparing for the breakfast treats I’m taking to WV. The veggie, ham and bacon casserole and the blueberry streusel coffee cake will please the crew. Hubby washed up the baking dishes and finished some last minute jobs. Kim stopped by to get Brooklyn; Mancil came over to show me some recent photographs. I enjoyed their visits, just wish I hadn’t been in the middle of baking. Still have two loads of laundry to finish but otherwise we are caught up. Hubby has a Knight’s meeting. I am planning to relax. It’s 97°F at the moment with a much higher heat index. We are under a severe thunderstorm watch for 8:00 pm tonight. Maybe it will cool things down a bit. I hope your weather is more temperate. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “The daisies remind you to be happy. “ - Viola Shipman
