Wise One

Happened to see the owl fly away from me and into the trees over the other side of the marsh. Otherwise I would definitely not be able to spot the bird hidden in the branches. I didn't get a shot of it flying either, that would have been lovely, I didn't react quickly enough.

I'm guessing it was 200 yards away, so this is heavily cropped.

This is a great horned owl and at first it was facing away and only gave me glimpses. After a waiting a while it turned to face me and gave me this shot.

Last saw an owl on 9th June this year.
